LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Bullring, Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s 3/8-mile asphalt short track, will host the annual Open Comp event on Oct. 18-20. The grand finale of the prestigious race
"Oct. 18-20 at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway"
weekend is the 150-lap, $10,000-to-win Super Late Model feature. The race draws entries from throughout the Western U.S., including California, Idaho, Colorado and Arizona. Last year, Derek
Thorn of Bakersfield, Calif., topped a record 42-car entry list to claim the $10,000 winner’s check.
Other Open Comp Weekend classes include: Late Models, S2 Late Models, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Bombers, Super Stocks and USAC Ignite Midgets.
Super Late Model, Late Model and Legend Car drivers may save $75 by pre-entering. Pre-entries will be accepted until Oct. 15 (may be mailed, delivered or faxed). All pre-entered drivers
will receive a free Kobalt tool kit and will be allowed to enter the track two hours earlier. Pre-entry for Bombers, Super Stocks, Bandoleros, S2 Late Models and USAC Ignite Midgets is not
necessary.
