MADERA, California — There are two major events left in the Madera Speedway 2012 season, the October 20th Pumpkin Smash, and the November 10th Fall Shoot Out featuring Supers Verses winged Sprints event. This will cap off one great season that placed the Madera Speedway firmly back on the racing map on the West Coast.
The October 20th 6th annual Pumpkin Smash features four fantastic open comp races, the Coors Light Late models Championship race, the Open Hobby Stock race, the 4-Cylinder Open, and the 18 second bracket race. The main event is the 300 lap race thru Pumpkins and soap and water! Plus there is a hayride and trick-or-treat through the pits for the little fans during this wild and fun event.
The November 10th Fall Shoot Out will feature the winged sprints verses the supers in an open format with the only rules being 1650 pounds for the sprint cars, and 1950 pounds for the supers. This hammer down night of racing will also feature the first ever Bracket Racing Nationals with three brackets, the 15.8, 18.0, and 19.8 brackets. The only rules are a weight rule and a breakout rule. The 15.8 second class pays $1,500 to win, the 18.0 class pays $1,000 to win, and the 19.8 is $250 to win.
October 20th and November 10th, mark these dates down and be at the Madera Speedway for some of the best motorsports entertainment available.
