RACING FOR SIGHT – SPEARS Southwest Tour Series drivers Zane Lovelace, Jr. of Roseville and Scott Sanchez of Livermore have seen the power of cornea donation. Zane's mother, Cheryl Camilleri died in a horseback riding accident in August. The family found comfort in the fact that Cheryl was able to be a cornea donor and give the gift of sight to two people. Scott's father, Marty Sanchez, lost his sight to corneal blindness, but is now able to watch his son race and enjoy life thanks to two cornea transplants made possible by the generosity of donors. The two drivers are working with Donate Life California, Sierra Donor Services and SightLife to host a donor registration drive at the track this weekend.
