Meet the newest member in the NASCAR community-Arie Luyendyk, Jr. , 20-year-old son of the two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk, is making his NASCAR debut at Irwindale, California.
Luyendyk has joined Triton Realty Motorsports of Scottsdale, Arizona and will compete in the ROUSH prepared #92 Ford Taurus.
In a perfect world, Luyendyk would split his time between NASCAR and open wheel racing. Is there another Tony Stewart in the making ? Time will tell.
Plans for Luyendyk and Triton Realty Motorsports in NASCAR for 2002 are to compete in the entire Winston West series and several Bush events as well as select Winston Cup events later in the year.
