NASCAR Winston West Qualifying is under way but 2 accidents have stopped qualifying while track clean up is under way. The first incident happened coming out of turn 3 when Portland Oregon driver, Kevin Culver hit the wall. He will have to attempt to requalify tomorrow.

The next incident happened when Hideo Fukuyama of Japan caught the turn two wall. It was on his second lap and his car burst into flames. Fukuyama managed to exit the car

Of the drivers that have qualified so far Eric Norris and Scott Gaylord have the fastest time, but two-thirds of the field is still waiting to go out. ####
