RacingWest: How will you spend New Years Eve?
Darrell & Shelley LaMoure: In a safe area and not driving. We will share this time with two of the coolest people we have had the honor to meet. The Stones, David and Susan are making the trip out to Arizona and we are heading to the Wilbur Cabin, that's Shelley's family cabin. We hope to get creative in the kitchen and enjoy some memories from the past year...
Dave Byrd: At Monterey’s First Night with my best bud Johny “LA” Fever who is going to drive me and my daughter to the airport at 4:00 am, so we can catch a plane and fly to Disneyworld.
Donna Walker: I will spend New Year's Eve skiing in Heavenly Valley in South Lake Tahoe with friends.
Sean Woodside: I will be working at a studio deal, Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve. I've worked this show before and, even though I'm working, it is fun.
Kristi SchmittProbably in Reno, NV
Vince Little: I will spend my New Years Eve with my family safe and sound either at our Church or Home.
Rick Hager: Hopefully at a Party??

Brian Rhodes: With my family in Westport, digging clams and scuba diving

RacingWest: Are you making a New Year's Resolution?
Darrell & Shelley LaMoure: This question can pose a problem, I think in the years past we all have over Emphasized this tradition? I know in my heart I hope to treat people better especially my family and friends. The assistance we offer many ffamilieshas been a major passion of mine, so I will upgrade and improve this mission.
Dave Byrd: It’s just an endless cycle isn’t it?
Donna Walker:I try not to make New Year's resolutions that I know I'll never keep.
Sean Woodside: Keep going to the gym.
Vince Little: My New Years resolution is to become the very best Father, Role Model to kids and Husband I can be and to win Rookie of the Year in the FSWT Series in 2002.
Rick Hager: Start going to church on a regular basis, and get a new business started.

RacingWest: What is your racing related goal for 2002?
Darrell & Shelley LaMoure: Bring a loved one home is priority one! Through our Racing for the Missing program and Win more races, I have tasted Victory circle and need it more then ever now...
Dave Byrd: Drive everything I can get my hands on and win everything I can win. I love to race all I can, but I may actually cut back from the 67 race schedule that I ran this last year. I would like to find someone who would really like to take things up a notch, get my new NFSWS team to gel, and go out and win some NFSWS races.
Donna Walker:Win both the Super Late Model championship at Mesa Marin Raceway and the NASCAR Winston West championship.
Sean Woodside: Win another championship, of course.

You have read their answers, now meet the people!

Roger LaMoure, Tiffany & Darrell LaMoure in Mesa Marin Victory Lane winning one for Ma & Shelley Darrell LaMoure: A veteran in the NFSWS, he adds color to every event he competes in. He can be the best friend a person can have. A heck of a temper in the most loveable guy you can find! And Shelley? Ask him, he will tell you, definitely the better half..ha! LaMoure won his frist NFSWS event at Mesa Marin in 2001, now the pressure of that first win is off. A crusader for missing children and adults with his "Racing For the Missing Program", LaMoure is backed by NAPA again this season. Don't miss reading his Tour Talk section on this site!

Kristi Schmitt in her NASCAR Super Late Model at Mesa Marin Raceway Dave Byrd: Few in the west have not heard the name Dave Byrd. RacingWest has followed his career for several years. I think we knew he was a good racer, but after meeting him at Mesa Marin Raceway I can also say he is a very kind person. A newcomer to the NFSWS, he turned some heads in his race at Bakersfield. His goal is to win a Tour race in 2002, I think he just might pull it off.

Team Owner Donna Walker with Sean Woodside at NASCAR Winston West Banquet Donna Walker: There are many women listed as car owners, but few take as active a role as Donna Walker does. She fields cars in both the NASCAR Winston West and Super Late Model Series. In 2001 her drivers were son, Mike and championship driver Sean Woodside. Her commitment and dedication to racing has helped maintain a standard.

Sean Woodside with NASCAR Winston West sponsor, Mark Rose at NASCAR Winston West Banquet

Sean Woodside: A championship driver including winning the 1999 championship in the Winston West has long been considered a fan favorite. Woodside has a great personality and his honesty is refreshing in this day of canned speeches, making him one of the most popular drivers on the Winston West circuit today. A versatile driver that is as much at home on the Super Speedway as he is the RoadCourse, he is a fierce competitor on the short tracks. Will Woodside win in 2002? There are a lot of people that are betting he will not only win, but be a challenge for the title in 2002.

Kristi Schmitt in her NASCAR Super Late Model at Mesa Marin RacewayKristi Schmitt: Grandaughter to the four time NASCAR Winston West champion, Bill Schmitt, she has coupled a college education with running select Late Model NorthWest Tour Series events. In 2002 Schmitt is looking forward to a run at the Rookie-of-the-Year title in the RBNWS. She has a warm personality and is focused on her racing career. Look for her to be one of NASCAR's future stars.

Vince Little driving his NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour car at Madera Speedway

Vince Little: A rookie-of-the-year and Champion in the Ultra Wheels Supertruck Series, Little ran a limited schedule in the Southwest Tour in 2001. He is looking forward to a run for the Rookie-of-the-Year title in the same series in 2002. The 2002 Southwest series congingent is expected to be a strong one, but this driver is up to the task; especially strong on the road courses, Sears Point may just be his time to shine!

Rick Hager: Currently competing in the Dynamax Touring Series and The Big 5 series at Wennatchee, Hager is a name that is new to many of us. We look forward to learning more about him and his racing career in 2002 and hope to follow his progress as he focusus on winning the Dynamax championship in 2002.

Donie Butts fueling Eric Norris NASCAR Winston West Banquet Donie Butts: Fueler for Eric Norris Eric Norris and freinds at NASCAR Winston West BanquetRacing NASCAR Winston West and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team, Butts is a joy to be around. He has an upbeat attitude, is strongly supportive of his team and is a real crusader for racing. His dedication is commendable.

Brian Rhodes: Team member to brother, Wes Rhodes, driver of the Lumbermens/Knight Fire Protection Racing Team in the NASCAR Raybestos Brakes Northwest Tour, Rhodes shares a number of team's hopes for 2002, a win! ####
