NFSWS DRIVER, DAVID POOK, RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

Message from David Pook sent via "cartkid"

You are welcome to send him a message at: DP Motorsports 3710 Industry Way, Unit 201 Lakewood, CA 90712

Update January 20: David Pook is released from Hospital Go offsite to the official site of Cart to read full story.

January 17: David Pook of Long Beach (Calif.) was hospitalized Wednesday in the Intensive Care Unit of Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix where he is listed in critical condition. Pook was injured while testing at Phoenix International Raceway. It was reported by a reliable source that Pook may possibly have sustained a broken neck and internal injuries.

Pook was slated to run for the 2002 Rookie-of-the-Year title in the popular NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series. He recently competed in both the Indy Lights and RE/MAX challenge Series. Pook is the son of the Grand Prix's president and founder, Chris Pook.

Visitation for patients in ICU is normally limited to the family and very close friends. But there is never a limit on prayer and at this time is almost a certainty that both Pook and his family would appreciate them.

If you would like to send get-well cards they may be sent (until further updates) to: Good Samaritan Hospital, 1111 E McDowell Rd Phoenix, AZ 85006.

If you would like to send your thoughts and Prayers for Pook and his family they may be sent to: cares@racingwest.com.
