PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Austin Cameron launched his 2002 season in the NASCAR Winston West Series with a victory at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday in the Winter Heat 150 Presented by Bosch.

The race was Cameron's first as the driver of the NAPA/Martin Senour-sponsored team that has garnered three consecutive championships in the series.

Cameron took the lead from pole-sitter Eric Norris on the 17th lap and paced the field the rest of the day. Sammy Potashnick crossed the line for second, with Norris third.

Sean Woodside finished fourth, while series rookie Greg Pursley finished fifth. Ken Schrader, involved in an early race incident, finished ninth.
