LAS VEGAS -- Mark "Mopar Man" Kinser won the A-Feature at the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Silver State Shootout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Friday night. Kinser collected his first win of the season and his fourth at LVMS on the second night of preliminaries at the Silver State Shootout. After a win in the O' Reilly Auto Parts Dash, Kinser started on the pole for the 25-lap main event. A strong start allowed Kinser to pull away from the 24-car field early and maintain his lead through two cautions to take the checkered flag. Sammy Swindell and Steve Kinser followed Kinser.
"Last night we didn't finish to good (13th), so I wanted to come out with a top-five finish," Kinser said. "It is one of the tracks that we come to that right out of the box we usually have a good setup.
"I'm a notorious slow starter," Kinser said. "It is always nice to get a victory. Saturday night is the final night of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Silver State Shootout. Swindell is the points leader followed by S. Kinser and M. Kinser going into the final night of action.
Spectator gates open Saturday at 5 p.m. Heat races begin at 7:00 p.m.
