100+ CARS TAKE TO THE DIRT AT TEMECULA SPEED FINALE

Saturday night at Temecula over 110 racecars took to the dirt for the season finally. Drivers came from Arizona and Sacramento to finish off the Inaugural season. The first racers to cross the finish line were the Speedway Midgets. An outstanding performance of this years rookies Chris Mckinley of San Marcos, Travis Tubbs of Escondido and J.D. Baier of Corona rounding off the top three spots. Third place driver J.D. Baier has been named " Rookie of the year" by the Speedway Midget Association for 1999.

Dwarf car driver Brian Drake of Ramona and third place points winner for the Southern California Dwarf Car Association captured the checked flag with his first win at Temecula, but the suprise of the night was first time driver Ron Hudson of San Diego, who took a strong forth in the Dwarf car main event. California Street Stock Association 1999 Points Champion Jim Coates of Riverside finished the season off with a win and "Rookie of the Year" Alan Grubel of Yucipa placed third. The Temecula Speedway would like to thank all the fans and drivers for coming out and supporting the track this first season and will begin racing again in March of 2000.
