Terry Cook, winless in 88 starts since his sole NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory in August 1998 at Flemington, N.J., raced to a 8.654 second victory over Jason Leffler in Sunday's Dodge Ram Tough 200 at Gateway International Raceway. Cook, who started his No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel Ford from the eighth position in the 36-truck field, took the lead for the final time on the 117th of 160 laps when Leffler pitted his No. 2 Team ASE Racing/Carquest Dodge for fuel and tires. Bud Pole winner Mike Bliss finished third in the IWX Motor Freight/Knights Inn Chevrolet, followed by Rick Crawford's No. 14 Circle Bar Racing Ford. Crawford pitted under caution early to repair an oil leak and raced back to his original starting slot from 32nd. David Starr, who took over the point lead by 10 over Ted Musgrave, finished fifth in the Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet. Results follow.
