Driver and Owner Vince Little will be running the Sears Point Race on June 22nd thanks to some very special people. " If it was not for Bart Price of DBP Enterprises in Oakland, Guy Stockbridge of Elite Landscaping and Curt Eismann of Truck Top and Accessory Shop, both of Fresno, we would not be able to run this race." The team has been searching intensely for a Corporate Sponsor since the selling of DAVID Sunflower Seeds back in January. Nestle' decided to sell DAVID to Con-Agra Foods and unfortunately for Vincent Little Racing his contract was with Nestle' DAVID Sunflower Seeds. Con-Agra decided not to pick up the Motor Sports contract as their decision was based on previous commitments with Gibbs Racing.
"I knew it was going to be difficult to find a great sponsor like DAVID after the season already started. It is hard enough to find a Corporate Sponsor and add the fact that most Corporations have their monies allocated by November of the previous year has made it almost impossible for us. However we have not given up and THANKS to my GOD and my Faith in Him, DBP Enterprises, Elite Landscaping and Truck Top and Accessory Shop we will be able to run at least ONE race this year. I am just so excited it is Sears Point." The team finished well there last year especially when it was the first time Vince ever ran a Tour car at a Road Coarse. 11th place was fantastic for the teams first tackle of the Sears Point Road Coarse and even ran in 5th place with 7 laps to go until Eric Holmes used the DAVID Sunflower Seeds Monte Carlo as a brake going into turn 7. Vince dropped to 16th with 6 laps to go but managed to work back to 11th by the end. " We had a really great car and the team did exceptionally well there as this was our first time at Sears Point and a Pit Stop Race. I really like the Road Coarse and I am looking very positive for this year at Sears Point." Keep an eye on the # 75 Car, they have a Quest and will surely hope to achieve their goals at Sears Point.
