Amazing 10,000-pound, 4x4 monster trucks will roar into Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s half-mile dirt oval for Extreme Monster Truck Mania with their car-pounding, wheel-standing action one week earlier than originally scheduled.

The new dates of the event are set for Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18.

The event will feature eight of the nation’s top monster trucks, including Bigfoot, Monster Patrol, the Firestone Wilderness Truck, Bear Foot and four other top national competitors.

The monster trucks will compete on two separate ovals that will include 20 cars and six jumps for non-stop action.

The car-crunching trucks also will compete in tag-team races, a wheelie contest in an attempt to break a world record and a special extreme jump.

In addition, the two-day event will feature the rough and tough off-road thunder trucks, a demolition derby and extreme motocross racing.

Gates will open each evening at 6 p.m. with all the extreme action beginning at 8 p.m.

Reserved-seat prices are $20 for adults and $15 for children 3-12. Reserved seats are limited.

General-admission prices are $15 for adults and $10 for children 3-12. Children two and under are admitted free.

On Friday evening LVMS will host Family Night. A half-price child’s general admission ticket may be purchased with each full price adult general admission ticket when accompanied by a coupon.

Tickets for the event will be available Jan. 17, 2000 by calling the LVMS ticket office at (702) 644-4443 or by fax at (702) 632-8021.####
