This Saturday, June 15th, the Northwest Street Stock Tour (NWSST), Outlaw Compacts and NW Legends and Bandoleros will all make another visit to South Sound Speedway. All three classes just raced the 3/8ths oval two weeks ago. Coming for the first time this year will be the Golden Wheels and the Washington Midget Racing Association (WMRA).

The NWSST is growing in popularity and increasing their car count each time with over 20 cars joining them a few weeks ago. Pat Schwartzkopf and Dustin Wilkinson have each showed the crowd what they're made of. Who will be next? Willy Thom and Brian Puncochar have been front-runners, winning many dashes and heats. Brian Overturf is also a strong car to watch. With more than 20 cars in the race, it's anyone's guess as to who will take home the prize.

The Outlaw Compacts have been jam packed with action this season. Jim Milligan Jr., Eric Angeledes, and Derek Sonnenberg have been very close to the first position in the main but came up short. Pete Brady and Dale Roberts have been winners but their winning streak could be over because the rest of the drivers have got their games faces on and are ready to win.

The Legends and Bandoleros always bring action. The Bandolero points are tight with Craig Derksen leading and Mitchel Ferderer and Andrew Caddell tied right behind him. Rick McNeill seemed to be dominating the Semi-Pro division of the Legends last time out but surely everyone will have their turn to dominate. The WMRA have had a great season around the northwest and will be making two more stops this season at South Sound Speedway. Ken Ferris has a big points lead, but who will win on Saturday? The Golden Wheels will bring their vintage racecars this Saturday for their annual visit.

Sunday will be a 300-Lap Factory Stock Enduro. Stay tuned to see what name it will be given and who will pull their car out of the woodwork to win. Kirk Hall did it last time. Dale Holland won the time before that and took second last time. Who is next? Bob Presley dropped out early last time as well as former champion Mike Mikelson.

South Sound Speedway is located off I-5 exit 88 or 88A. Front gates open at 4:45 with qualifying at 5:00 pm. The racing action begins at 6:30 pm. Check out www.southsoundspeedway.com for all the results and coverage of the weekend's events.####
