Danny Rollins will make the move across the shop at Bobby Hamilton Racing and take over crew chief duties for the No. 18 Robert Pressley truck.

“I’m pretty excited about going back over there,” said Rollins. “You look at what is the best opportunity and for me, right now it’s making a move back to the No. 18 team. Bobby (Hamilton) has put together a tremendous group of people on every one of the teams in this shop, so it’s hard to say that you’re leaving one team and going to another. Everyone works as one team in the shop, so there really isn’t any difference until we get to the track. That is when I’ll be working with Robert (Pressley) and Randy (Seals) will be working with Brian (Rose). The whole goal of this is to get all three teams and crew chiefs working as one, and with myself, Randy, and Kip (McCord), I think it’s as good as it can get. Now we just have to go win some races.”

Rollins takes over the job he left in December of last year to form the third Bobby Hamilton Racing team with Brian Rose behind the wheel. Last year, Rollins called the shots that gave Joe Ruttman a third place finish in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings.

“We’ve been looking at a lot of resumes for the last couple of weeks and just never found a person that gave us what we already had in Danny Rollins and Randy Seals,” said Hamilton. “So it was not a hard decision at all for me to move them around. In fact, I’m expecting some very big things from each of their respective teams.”

Rollins has a very impressive resume since becoming a crew chief in 2001. During his career, he has two wins and an unbelievable 25 top ten finishes in 31 starts.

“I’m happy to have Danny (Rollins) on my pit box,” said Pressley. “He’s pretty sharp and we seem to communicate well. We’ve worked together at a few tests before and I really like the way he thinks. I think with a little time, we could be a really good combination.”

Rollins takes over the No. 18 team with it sitting eighth in the overall NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings.####
