Joliet, Illinois -- Ron Hornaday will get behind the wheel of the BAM Racing #49 Winston Cup Series Dodge once again this weekend.
Hornaday has been working with BAM Racing most of this year along with rookie driver Shawna Robinson. Crew Chief Teddy Brown and Hornaday work well together and are working on improving the teams performance. Hornaday previously drove for BAM Racing at the Winston Open and Coca-Cola Racing Family 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May. The team, along with Hornaday, went to Daytona International Speedway back in June to test the #49 Dodge for the Pepsi 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race on July 6 for driver Shawna Robinson. Robinson qualified 27th and finished 40th after her car suffered rear end failure.
"They have a lot of talent over here (at BAM) and I just want to see them be successful and competitive." stated Hornaday. "Having more track time will also help us at Carroll Racing with the Busch Series program."
Hornaday is no stranger to Double Duty. In 2001, while running a full Cup Series schedule for racing legend AJ Foyt, Hornaday ran several races for Armando Fitz, and Curb-Agajanian Motorsports in the Busch Series.
"I love to race, it's as simple as that", commented Hornaday. "It's me, I am a race car driver and the more races the better !"![]()
