VEGAS, Nevada -- NASCAR Late Model driver Patrick Vogel and NASCAR Charger driver Travis Swalwell will be on hand at the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of Nevada’s pediatric clinic for children with bleeding disorders this Thursday from Noon to 2 p.m.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway has teamed up with the drivers and the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of Nevada to provide a unique experience for the estimated 30 children attending the clinic.
“This is a huge deal,” said Jennifer Buis of the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of Nevada. “The children will be visiting doctors all day, they (drivers) will help get their minds off of visits and help them deal with the situation.”
The center is located near University Medical Center at 2020 Palomino Lane.
The Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of Nevada, founded in 1997, offers diagnosis and management for individuals of Nevada with inherited or acquired bleeding disorders including hemophilia, von Willebrand’s disease and platelet disorders.
