The afternoon practice session was shortened by an accident in turn four involving car No. 35 and car No. 40. In a single car incident the No. 15 car driven by Ben Walker, suffered serious damage that destroyed the rear clip. Rick Suran driver of the #40 Eastside paving Pontiac, was taken to the infield care center for further evaluation. Car No. 83 driven by Jim Sikes Jr. spun in turn four with no contact. That spin ended the afternoon. Random practice times are as follows:

Injury Update: Andy Michner, driver of the No. 66 Brayton/Hawk MCI World COm Midget Series Racer that crashed in practice Friday morning, returned to the track this afternoon. He had a noticeable limp as he moved around his pit area. Michner said "they say I've got a slight fracture just below the knew. The crew is working on the car right now and we'll see how everything goes in practice tomorrow. It (the left left) hurts, but we'll see tomorrow morning."####
