Eddie Hoffman #0 and Kevin Para #45 spent the night changing engines. Kevin Richards #65 had an engine shipped from Los Angeles overnight and was changing engines early this morning.

Mike Snow #35 will drive a backup car today after crashing heavily on Friday. The appearance of the backup car brings the field to a total of 77 Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring cars. The previous record of 74 cars was set at the now-defunct Riverside International Raceway in 1988 and tied at PIR in November of 1994.

This weekend's field includes teams from 13 states and two countries. The other country is Canada, represented by Bill Lawerence of British Columbia.

Former NASCAR Winston West Series champions Sean Woodside and Rick Carelli are in the field for this weekend's race. Carelli is also a former FSWS-NT Champion and Rookie of the Year

Practice notes: Contact in turn two with cars #58 and #121..both continued...

Car #00 spun in turn two and stalled bringing out the yellow flag.

Checkered flag for group one fell at 9:50am.

Group Two green flag was at 10:03; yellow flat at 10:03 , car #17 spun in turn two and stalled.

Car #69 was black flagged

Car #94 was black flagged

Yellow at 10:07 am for Car #17 smoking; car went off track at the back door.

Green flag at 10:10 am

Checkered flag at 10:12.####
