
Dick Midgley of Victoria BC, owner of the 09 Winston West cars and the 09 Craftsman Truck is headed to Daytona to qualify for the Inaugural Craftsman Truck series race. The truck has been testing at Daytona International Speedway by a member of the Dave Marcis Racing team. Dwayne Leike, an ARCA race winner, tested the truck at over 181 miles an hour. Not able to close sponsorship in time Leike passed the driving duties over to his friend Matt Mullins.
Mullins has been driving his way up the ranks and has driven in Karts, USAC Formula Russell Cars, Legend cars, NASCAR Winston late models, NASCAR Sportsman Super Speedway Series, ARCA Series and the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series. Matt is also a senior driving instructor at Fast Track Driving School, instructor at Richard Petty Driving Experience and at Jim Russell's Driving School where he has combined over 60,000+ miles of testing. Thirty three year old Mullins, who holds a degree in public relations, is excited at this opportunity to drive the Dick Midgley/Leo Hindrey prepared Chevrolet truck.![]()
