Robert Pressley dominated Saturday's Michigan 200 at Michigan International Speedway but barely held off a charging Jason Leffler to win by the eighth-closest margin in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series history. Pressley, driving the No. 18 Square D Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge, expertly blocked Leffler's No. 2 Team ASE Racing/Carquest Dodge through turns 3 and 4 to win by 0.102-second. It was the 43-year-old veteran's second victory of the season and first since Pressley won at Daytona in February. He won $48,250, averaging a race record 142.208 mph -- making the Michigan 200 the third fastest race in series history. Travis Kvapil finished third in the No. 60 CAT Racing Stores Chevrolet, followed by Mike Bliss and David Starr. Bliss took over the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points lead by 29 points over Starr with former leader Ted Musgrave another 24 back. Musgrave finished 32nd after his No. 1 Mopar Performance Dodge suffered engine failure after 37 laps. Just 114 points span first through eighth place with nine races remaining on the 2002 season.
