IRWINDALE, California -- After a short summer break, the Lynchmob is back on the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series scene.

Scott Lynch will drive the #81 Yerf-Dog Fun Karts/Mr. Gas/Crown Asphalt Chevrolet Monte Carlo in Saturday night's 150-lap event at Irwindale Speedway, while his younger brother, Nick, will enter the #21 Yerf-Dog/ Mr. Gas Chevrolet.

It will be the Lynchmob's first appearance on the Southwest Series since the 64-lap race at Infineon Raceway in June. Scott finished 21st on the famed road course, while Nick struggled in qualifying and failed to make the starting grid.

For Scott Lynch, this weekend couldn't have come fast enough. The ultra-fast, -mile oval at Irwindale is Scott's favorite track on the circuit, and a second and a third place finish in three Southwest appearances in 2001 proves how comfortable he feels at Irwindale.

"We had a chance to go down to Irwindale last week and run some laps," said Scott Lynch, who is in Salt Lake City for the final week of summer school. "I was a little rusty in the car, but I'm looking forward to Saturday night' s race. The Yerf-Dog Chevrolet is running great."

His younger brother, Nick, is no stranger to the track, either. The 20-year old won a truck event there as an 18-year old.

The #81 Chevrolet is sponsored by Yerf-Dog, the largest supplier of Karts in the US. Yerf-Dog Fun Karts range from Yerf-Pups to go carts with full suspension to provide outdoor recreation for kids of all ages. Yerf-Dog Fun Karts are much like small dune buggies, and are great for desert fun or in other open outdoor areas. Roll bars and ATC balloon tires give Yerf-Dog Fun Karts a sporty look with lots of performance.

Flexible Flyer manufactures the Yerf-Dog Fun Karts, Universal Fitness Equipment, swing-sets, trampolines and hobbyhorses in a 750,000 square foot manufacturing facility in West Point, Mississippi. The products are sold in a broad range of retail stores throughout the United States, including Costco in Bakersfield, Sam's Club, Big 5, Academy Stores and BJ's. They can be found on the World Wide Web at
