SPARTA, Kentucky -- Jason Priestley is in serious condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Ky., after an accident Aug. 11 in an Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series practice session at Kentucky Speedway, said Dr. Henry Bock, medical services director of the Indy Racing League.
Priestley has fractures to both feet, a closed head injury and a fracture of the thoracic spine. He is stable and is responding. He was transported by U.K. Air Medical Service to the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Priestley's No. 7 HomeMed Pharmacy Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone hit the retaining wall in Turn 2 at approximately 8:42 a.m. (EDT) during a practice session for the Kentucky 100 Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series race.
