BAKERSFIELD, California -- Sammy Potashnick is scheduled to pilot the Jay Robinson-owned No. 49 NASCAR Busch Series car for the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn., on August 23.
Potashnick will take on the high banks of Bristol, also known as Thunder Valley, under the lights. The night race on the half-mile oval will be his second Busch Series entry with Jay Robinson Racing.
Potashnick’s first seat time with the team was at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Ill., several weeks ago. Having to replace the primary engine before qualifying, the team finished 30th using a backup motor.
