CALFORNIA SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2003 SCHEDULE

Season Ticket Renewals to Begin With Chance to Win Trip to Daytona 500 or Indianapolis 500

FONTANA, California -- After a year of unprecedented growth at California Speedway with five major event weekends, California Speedway President Bill Miller today announced the 2003 event schedule.

The most significant changes include the moving of the Indy Racing League event from March to September (19-21) and the movement of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event from November to join the IRL in September. In addition, the sports car weekend, which made its debut at California Speedway in March and features the Rolex Sports Car Series, will be its own event weekend in early June.

All weekends will be three-day shows and open to the public beginning on Friday, excluding the November 1-2 CART FedEx Championship Series weekend, which will be open beginning on Saturday.

Season ticket renewal forms will be mailed out on August 19. All renewals must be postmarked by September 16th.

FOR SEASON TICKET RENEWALS AND NEW SEASON TICKET CUSTOMERS

An opportunity to win a chance to attend the Daytona 500 or the Indianapolis 500 is available for those who return their season ticket renewal forms by August 30th (see attached rules).

The lucky person who wins the renewal drawing can select which race they would like to attend. The other race will be available for an additional drawing on December 1st for new season ticket customers. The prizes include two tickets to either the 2003 Daytona 500 or the 2003 Indianapolis 500, along with round-trip airfare for two and a two-night stay at a hotel near the appropriate racing facility.

Two season ticket packages are available for 2003, the Ultimate Season Package and the Sunday Season Package. The Ultimate Package, which offers a savings of $175 off of individual prices, guarantees the same grandstand seat for every day of racing at all reserved seat events and a ticket to all general admission events. The Sunday Package, which is a $75 savings off of individual prices, includes the same grandstand seat for the Sunday reserved events and a ticket to the Sunday general admission ticket events. The reserved seat events are: April 25-27 NASCAR/IROC Weekend, September 19-21 IRL/NASCAR Craftsman Truck Weekend and the November 1-2 CART/NASCAR Winston West Weekend. A Season Ticket Brochure will be mailed to guests on the speedway’s preferred mailing list (a person who has purchased race tickets in the past) on October 7. For individuals on the speedway’s mass mailing list (names collected in a variety of ways), the brochure will be mailed on October 15.

Season Tickets go on sale via the Internet on November 11 and by phone on November 18.

Customers on the preferred mailing list can begin sending in Individual Race Order Forms on December 2, while those on the mass mailing list can begin sending in individual race forms on December 9.

Individual Race Tickets go on sale on the Internet at www.californiaspeedway.com beginning December 16 and by telephone at 1-800-944-RACE (7223) on January 8.

In addition, the Sunday package includes an opportunity to witness the premier events at a cost savings from the same seat during our reserved seat events. For example, an individually priced Sunday Winston Cup ticket in Level A is $110, for the Sunday Season Package an individual would get that day plus five other Sunday event days for $270 total. For the motorsports fan, we don’t believe they will find that value anywhere else."
