ANTIOCH, California -- In a non stop 20 lap All Pro Series Dwarf Car main event, Curt Jordan grabbed the lead at the start and sped home to victory Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. The win was the first of the season for Jordan as second ranked John Barker finished second ahead of Sparky Floris. The 15 lap, double point Mini Truck main event also ran caution free with Fred Von Stieff scoring the win ahead of point leader Joyce Ford and Troy Caraway.

David Hays Jr. was a double winner in Dwarf Car action, taking victories in his six lap heat race and the five lap Trophy Dash. Barker and new track champion Jim Barton won the other heat races. Jordan had the outside front row for the main event and raced out to the lead ahead of Floris and Bill Emmerson. Hays gained third with an inside move in Turn 4 of the second lap and second with a similar move on Floris, but he pitted with mechanical woes on lap six. Jordan had nearly a straightaway lead on Floris at that moment as tenth starter Barker was up to third. Barker raced by Floris for second on lap eight, but the best he could do was reel in Jordan by the time the checkered flag waved. Jordan brought it home to the much needed victory ahead of Barker, Floris, David Barton and J. Barton.

There were a season high 12 Mini Trucks in action with six lap heat race wins going to Ford and Caraway. Mark Guindon claimed four lap Trophy Dash honors. After seconds in his heat race and the dash, Von Stieff was hoping to turn his front row main event start into a victory. Ford started back in eighth, and Von Stieff raced into the early lead ahead of Pete Paulsen and Caraway. On lap seven, the leaders caught slower traffic, and Paulsen used that to make a back stretch pass on Von Stieff for the lead. However, Von Stieff made a Turn 4 pass a lap later to reclaim first. The patient Ford was now fourth and took third from Paulsen on lap ten. While Von Stieff pulled away, Ford made a late challenge on Caraway and beat him by inches to the checkered flag. Von Stieff scored the well earned victory ahead of Ford, Caraway, Paulsen and Guindon.
