BORNEMAN WANTS TO END SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE

Fresh off his Late Model victory at his home track, Cajon Speedway, Johnny Borneman III, pilot of the #8 Borneman Plastering Ford Taurus, is looking forward to this weekend's Orleans 150 race in Las Vegas Motorspeedway. Borneman is bringing his newly purchased Jeff Burton Roush machine which has a victory in Loudon, NH. "I am really excited about the race this weekend. We have a reallly good car with a brand new motor. We have had a very strong second half of the season and I am looking to place an exclamation point at this race."

Widely considered as an up and coming talent in the West, Borneman would like to return and win the Winston West championship in 2003. "We are poised to run for the championship next year. Ever since my crew chief, Kevin Cram joined us midway through the season, he ironed out the kinks and showed us how to win. We also have a great motor program now and the chemistry is right on. It's too bad the season had to end, because I would race every weekend if I could."

Making a run for the championship is just part of the plan for 2003. Borneman is also looking to race a limited Craftsman Truck program next year.####
