It ain't over till it's over
Truer words were never spoken according to Stage 8 Rookie of the Year Candidate Greg Pursley. " I have had the worst luck this past season in spite of always having a car that I have felt we could win with. Our team ran great at California Speedway and before that we ran good at Phoenix. I feel that our car and motor combination is the best that we have run all year," said Greg.
Greg currently sits in 9th place in the Winston West Championship hunt, just 83 points out of 4th place. This year has been tough for all the competitors as evidence by the tight points battle. He also sits in 2nd place in the rookie of the year battle. "Mike David needs to run real good this weekend because we are definitely looking for a win."
Vons Supermarkets, King Taco Restaurants, Rudolph Foods, Superior Gear and Jan's Towing are all on board this weekend in what shapes up to be one of the most exciting finishes in the NASCAR Winston West history. The close points race between the top three teams and the race for the rest of the top ten makes pretty much all the positions up for grabs. The Orleans 150 set to go off at 7:00 pm Saturday October 12, will be televised on a tape delay basis on November 25, 2002 @ 8:00 ET 5:00 PT on the Speed Channel.
