October 20, 2002 – Mesa Marin Raceway – Eric Holmes #62 of Modesto won today’s 25th Anniversary October Classic 1-800-Cleanup 150 at Mesa Marin Raceway. David Gilliland #11 Woodland Hills, finished 2nd with M.K. Kanke #98 of Frazier Park was 3rd. But most of the race it was a duel between Dan Holtz, #23, and Craig Raudman #2 both of Bakersfield.
In the NASCAR Late Model Victory Circle 150 Brian Kelley #22 of Mission Hills took 1st followed by Ron Daniel #39 Mentone and Mike Riale #4 of Bakersfield. Riale also won the 76 Racing Gas Big Five Series. In the NASCAR Street Stocks it was Darren Reed, Brain Neufeld, and Howie Smith, all of Bakersfield.
The October Classic is the final NASCAR event of the Mesa Marin 2002 season.
