Starting 13th on the grid during a full moon didn’t bode well for the #62 of Eric Holmes. Practice the previous week didn’t go as well as anticipated, however patience and timing proved to be everything. Eric’s past five starts in the Southwest and Winston West Series have resulted in 2 wins and placing fourth or better in the remaining events.
The pace was steady, the Taco Bell Chevrolet moved methodically through the field that was reduced to thirty cars from the forty strong entry list. Four caution flags slowed the race for 28 laps, including the last incident on lap 142, setting up a green, white and checkered run for the finish. Brakes were fading once Eric took the lead on lap 121, however, he was able to hold on during the final restart and cross the line for the win.
Beebe Racing Enterprises enjoyed another win and looks forward to new opportunities on the horizon.
