Auggie Vidovich Jr. qualified 3rd for Sunday’s race at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, California. He knew he had a good car for the race. At the drop of the flag, it did not take long for him to move into the second position. Vidovich and the third place driver battled back and fourth.
On lap 22, Vidovich was in the third position when the second place driver and Vidovich tangled and the 2nd place driver was in the wall and Vidovich was sent to the back of the pack. He just knew he had to get back up to the front. Plenty of time left.
As the night went on the track got cooler. The car started to get real tight and he could not make the moves he wanted to. He had to settle for a 10th place finish that was OK, considering the car is in one piece and he finished the race.
The team will be in Phoenix on October 26 & 27 for some testing. The next race is scheduled for November 7 at Phoenix International Raceway. That is the last race of the season. We are looking forward to Phoenix as we hope to visit victory lane!![]()
