Jess Motorsports driver Rick Ruzbarsky looks forward to the Southwest Series season finale at Phoenix International Raceway. The team will be heading to the fast one-mile track for the first time in a new car built by Mike David, owner of David's Racing Products in Modesto. A final shake down is expected to take place this weekend at Altamont Raceway Park, where the track's 2000 Late Model Rookie of the Year scored his first SRL victory this season.
Davey Hamilton's Supermodified Racing League's Late Model 2002 Rookie of the Year finished fourth overall in the Wild West Shootout Series point standings. The Tracy driver is anticipating a good run in the Alfred Matthews/Ken's Tire Store Chevrolet next week in the Cruise America 125. The shiny black of the #51 comes courtesy of Gil's BodyWorks in Dublin and with safety in mind Rick finds the Joie of Seating supporting him as well.
The future brings the opportunity to challenge for the 2003 SRL Championship and run a few select events with the Southwest Series. Check back this fall at 3WideMotorsports.com for updates.
