PHOENIX, Arizonia -- BCI Motorsports announced today the results of their two day test at Phoenix International Raceway this past weekend.
BCI Motorsports team owner Drew Bischof said, “We had a very successful test at PIR despite the rain and cool temperatures on Saturday. We brought our newest car to Phoenix and we are extremely pleased. This is the first time that this car has seen a race track this year and we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves the fastest car in the garage on Saturday and in the top three overall for the weekend. We ran consistently quick laps both in qualifying and race trim and we loaded up with tremendous confidence for the race on November 7th.”
Drew went on to say that BCI Motorsports will return to Phoenix with more horsepower than they tested with and a completely fresh engine. “Our engine builder found a few more horsepower this week, so naturally we are thrilled. We are also really excited about our new marketing partner DACOR. All of the people over there are great and we are looking forward to showing them a great time this next week.”
The BCI Motorsports team has high expectations coming off of such a successful test and expects to qualify well and race for the win. Their driver, Randy Nelson, is no stranger to PIR. He has raced there a number of times in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the NASCAR Winston West Series and the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series.
BCI Motorsports wishes to thank the following people for their help during the test at PIR. Jim from Roush West, Mike from Naake Motorsports, Jim from Watkins Engine Development and Ron from Ron’s Rear Ends.
