BRUCE BECHTEL HEADS FOR THE PHOENIX HILLS FOR THE BASHAS SUPERMARKETS 200 BUSCH RACE

CORONA, CA — Bruce Bechtel, a Corona electrical contractor and NASCAR regular, heads to the Phoenix hills this Saturday for the BASHAS SUPERMARKETS 200 Busch series race at the 1-mile Phoenix International Raceway.

Bruce Bechtel will be driving the #77 Spectrum Communications, Ford Of Upland, Pure Power Lubricants and American Electric Supply 2002 Ford Taurus maintained by Jimmy Means and owned by Joseph Reilly this weekend and are hoping to finish out the remainder of the series season with the final race at Homestead, Florida. Bechtel savors the level of competition the Busch series has to offer and is actively seeking sponsorship for the 2003 Busch series campaign.

Bechtel has run three other NASCAR Busch series races this year (Fontana, Pikes Peak and Atlanta) and looks forward to the challenge that the Phoenix oval has to offer. "Phoenix is a driver's track. The flat turns require a car that handles well in the corners which lends itself to some great racing from a driver's point of view," quoted Bruce Bechtel.

Bruce Bechtel is not a new face to this track having raced here in the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour series the past couple of years and also as a driving instructor for a driving school at the acclaimed oval for numerous years. "I like this track and feel that we can be real competitive on the smaller track," quoted Bruce earlier this week.

The BASHAS SUPERMARKETS 200-lap race will be televised on NBC at 2pm (EST) and MRN at 2:30pm (EST).####
