The Rich Woodland Racing #86 Amtrak Chevrolet finished 7th this past Saturday in the ARCA Mountain Dew 400 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.

Starting 11th for the 100 lap race around the two 1/2 mile Pocono Raceway was impressive for the 27 year old now residing in Kannapolis, NC. He remained in the top 12 until on lap 42 he took over the lead! A crash soon after the race restarted brought the caution out again. Restarting in the lead on lap 49, the Amtrak Chevrolet was then passed by eventual race winner Tim Steele. In the final laps of the race, Woodland, the last car on the lead lap decided to come in for a final adjustment under caution on lap 87. He restarted on lap 88 in 9th place and passed two cars before the checkered flag came out.

The Rich Woodland Racing team is planning on going to the one mile Pikes Peak oval for the ARCA race on July 12 near Colorado Springs, Colorado. This race will be on ESPN2 live, check your local listings for times.

The next set of races will be with the NASCAR Winston West series. The two mile California Speedway in Fontana on July 18 and then back to Pikes Peak International Raceway on July 26. Check your local TV schedules for television coverage.####
