Bill Sedgwick will start the second NASCAR Winston West series race with the best view of the track. He made it around the Mesa Marin half-mile at a speed of 95.552 with a time of 18.838. Second was Brendan Gaughan. Marty Houston, Mike Duncan, Steve Portenga, Kevin Richards, Jerry Cain, Mark Reed, Joe Bean and Sammy Postahnick are the top ten qualifiers.
Eric Norris is 11th, John Metcalf 12th, Bobby Dotter, 13th, Les DenHerder 14th, Gary Smith, 15th, Troy Cline 11th, Lance Hooper 17th, Austin Cameron 12th, Scott Gaylord 19th, Rick Bogardt 20th., Mike Grady 21st, Jack Sellers 22nd, Gene Christensen 23rd, Rod Bennett 24th, Travis Powell 26th, Jason Small 27th and Jeff Jefferson 28th. Jason Small who has been so good at the track took a hard hit during his qualifying run. The team is frantically working to get a car ready for tomorrows event.
