Eric Holmes and the Beebe Racing Enterprises team plan to turn heads in 2003 with a new look and a new attitude. Unveiling a new sponsor, Wild Cherry Pepsi, the #62 Taco Bell car heads south to Phoenix International Raceway for the Featherlite Southwest Series opener next week.
The upcoming season brings additional changes with the series changing from Goodyear to Hoosier racing tires. Holmes returns to Phoenix coming off a win at Mesa Marin in the October Classic's 1-800-Cleanup 150. A podium finish at Infineon Raceway was an indication of good things to come. While running a limited schedule last year, Eric claimed yet another win in Altamont Raceway Park's last Southwest Series date, the Altamont 150 in July.
The green flag drops for the first 2003 NASCAR Southwest Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, February 2nd. While a title hunt is always the goal with additional sponsorship, look for Eric Holmes to take the Wild Cherry Pepsi Monte Carlo to the front in search of the first victory for the season.
