
AVONDALE, Arizona-- Last Sunday represented the opening of a new season In the Nascar Featherlite Southwest Series “Elite” touring division. Desert Thunder MotorSports, the Nations Missing Children’s Organization & Center for Missing Adults along with Napa Auto Parts and Yerf Dog Fun Karts achieved many successes.
Kent Jacobson, missing since March 10, 2002 was featured on the hood of the “Racing for the Missing” Chevy Monte Carlo in hopes of gaining information of his disappearance. The Speed Channel was on location and did tape the event, air date unknown. “Its our hope the Speed channel caught a few close ups of Kent and when aired someone will provide information assisting law enforcement” Said; Darrell LaMoure (driver)
Ron Vogler, of Picacho, AZ won the inaugural Yerf Dog Fun Kart. “2003 is exciting with the partnering of the leader in the go-cart (Fun Kart) industry we are able to provide additional joy in a persons life by awarding them an opportunity to Win a Yerf Dog Fun Kart through our raffle / giveaway at each event this season” Said; LaMoure Yerf Dog Fun Karts will supply a brand new Kart for each event this season, assisting and benefiting your local race tracks favorite charity and the Racing for the Missing program.
