Jason Leffler, the first to test Daytona International Speedway on Tuesday afternoon, posted a qualifying lap of 182.994 mph to win the Bud Pole for Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Florida Dodge Dealers 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Leffler, behind the wheel of the No. 2 Team ASE Racing/Carquest Dodge Ram, recorded his ninth series pole in just 24 starts. The Long Beach, Calif. competitor continues to seek his first series victory but goes to the post for the team, Ultra Motorsports, that won the 2000 inaugural version of the event. Leffler outqualified defending race winner Robert Pressley, who qualified his Dodge at 181.973. The pole winner's teammate, Ted Musgrave, will start third in another Dodge at 181.914, alongside Ed Berrier, who'll be making his first series start in a Chevrolet owned by NASCAR Winston Cup Series star Kevin Harvick. Terry Cook qualified fifth in a Ford F-150.
