CARSON CITY, Nevada -- Champion Motor Speedway has announced plans to host the 1st annual 250-lap “Soapy Sunday” GenX Enduro, along with the “DemoDaze” destruction derby on April 27.
“Soapy Sunday” presented by the “Nevada Appeal” will feature exciting enduro (1 & 2 man bomber-style racecars) racing action on a wet and soapy racetrack. Segment number one will provide 125-laps in a counter clockwise (traditional) direction.
The racers will then receive a quick 15-minute pit stop as the water truck refreshes the 1/3-mile high-banked asphalt oval with a fresh spray of soapy water. Then the GenX Enduros will race for an additional 125-laps in a clockwise (reverse) direction.
The winning car will take home $1000.00 in cash - and a trophy presented by “Ponderosa Stamp & Engraving”.
The day of destruction will conclude with the “DemoDaze” destruction derby. The winner will also receive a trophy presented by “Ponderosa Stamp & Engraving” and $500.00 in cash.
The back gate opens at 11am. The front gates will open at high noon and the show starts at 2PM.![]()
