Davey Hamilton’s SRL Wild West Shootout rolls into Stockton99 Speedway, this Sunday March 30th. This will be the second event of the 2003 racing season. Last Saturday the series visited Altamont Raceway Park, the first race of the ten race series. Jeff Anthony the 2002 series champion picked up the season opening victory.
Stockton99 hosted four exciting events during the 2002 racing season. Four different drivers tasted victory. Ron Strmiska Jr., Joey Zampa, Nathan Tucker, and John Gaalswyk each scored victories on the high-banked ¼ mile track. Michael Carver set fast time at one event, along with Zampa, Tucker, and Gaalswyk.
A very strong field of over 25 SRL Late Models is expected.
Pit gates open Sunday at 8:00 AM. Practice starts at 10:30 AM. Qualifying will begin at 12:00 PM, with the first race scheduled for 2:30 PM.
