JUSTIN, TX (March 29, 2003) -- Texas Motor Speedway has quickly become one of NASCAR Busch Series driver Chase Montgomery's favorite tracks.

After starting 34th on today's O'Reilly 300 starting grid, Montgomery maneuvered his #27 Alice Cooper/Montgomery Racing/Brewco Pontiac up 22 spots to a 12-place finish.

The 19-year-old rookie showed veteran-like patience through the seven cautions that plagued the 200-lap race.

"I just stayed focused on what I had to do out there today," Montgomery said. "There were several cautions and a lot of debris on the track today. I just tried to stay out of harm's way as much as possible."

Montgomery's next Busch Series event will be next Saturday at the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.####
