DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- NASCAR Elite Division officials have announced a penalty following the April 26 Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series race at Tri City Raceway in West Richland, Wash. Thomas Tesch, crew chief for Robert Tesch (No. 96 Tesch Family Racing Chevrolet), was fined $300 and penalized under section 12-4-A of the 2003 NASCAR rule book: actions detrimental to stock car racing, and section 12-4-Q: any determination by NASCAR officials that parts and/or equipment used in the event do not conform to NASCAR rules, improperly attached weight.
