CARSON CITY, Nevada -- Everyone was more then ready for the season opener this evening at Champion Motor Speedway. Then mean ol’ Mother Nature reared her wet head and stated … not this weekend racers! So unfortunately, the season opener slated for tonight is cancelled. However next Saturday nights racin’ forecast looks much more promising.
So on May 10th, the “Plaza Hotel & 76 Racing Fuel” will present the “Nevada Appeal - Sierra Mountain SuperSeries” featuring the fastest Charter Super LateModels from Northern Nevada taking on the quickest Pro Stocks from Central California in a 125-lap main event. Also on tap, the Les Schwab Street Stocks, the Legends, the Hustlin’ Hornets, along with the debut of the “FastFour TrophyDash” series and the Ponderosa Stamp & Engraving kids bicycle races.
However right before the beatin’ and bangin’ finally gets under way - Longs Jewelers will present the “best looking car” contest.
Every racer competing that night will be eligible to present their racecar, and the fans in the stands will decide the outcome.
Next Saturday night the front gates open at 5pm, and the show starts at 7PM.
