It was brought to our attention that the pre-release from NASCAR for the NUPRECON 125 at Evergreen Speedway contained an error. The release stated that the last time the Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series, as it is now called, competed on Evergreen Speedway's 3/8-Mile track was in 1989.
However, after a little research we discovered that John Dillon wheeled his Pontiac to a victory in the 125-lap event on July 14, 1990 on the 3/8-Mile at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. Dirk Stephens ran second in the race, which was completed in just less than 1 hour with an average speed of 49.130 MPH. Ken McMahon, Hershel McGriff Jr and Perry Chappelle rounded out the top-5.![]()
