SALING HANGS ON TO ROOKIE POSITION

SPOKANE, Washington -- Brian Saling, driver of the #23 Pantrol, Inc./Parts Plus car in the Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series, NASCAR Elite Division finished 19th overall Saturday night under the lights on Evergreen Speedway’s 3/8 mile oval short track. Twenty-four cars started the field and twenty-two finished even after a repeat multiple-car wreck on the white flag lap of this Fox Sports Net nationally televised race. Saling commented, “The 3/8ths at Monroe is one of the most brutal tracks we’ll run on. If this is the worst race I run all year, I’m O.K. with it. I’m just grateful to have the opportunity to bang doors with these guys thanks to a great crew chief, team and my sponsors, Pantrol, Parts Plus, Quick Engraving, Ray’s Truck Service, Nereaux Racing Engines and others.”

Hoping to gain a little more advantage this year with additional sponsorship, Saling hangs on to his runner-up Rookie status and stands 14th in points as he heads to Wenatchee Super Oval, Wenatchee, WA, on Saturday, May 24th.####
