Saturday and Sunday, Evergreen Speedway will be celebrating the Memorial Day Weekend with exciting family shows on both nights.

Saturday May 24th is US ARMY Night. Recruiting incentives and US ARMY paraphernalia will be available during the evening. The Grand Marshall for the event is “An Army of One” Staff Sergeant Alvin M. Coley, along with Sultan High School Senior and Enlistee Jake Marshall. “Ditch” radio personality from 99.9FM KISW along with two KISW Rock Girls will be making an appearance at the speedway, welcoming race fans with fun and prizes.
The NASCAR DODGE WEEKLY SERIES featuring The NASCAR Super Stocks will start their 5th race of the season with Monroe’s John Zaretzke going for a perfect season in his Ford, after winning the first four races of the season. Matt Murphy’s spankin’ new Port City Pontiac will be trying to unseat Zaretzke along with defending champion Tom Moriarity and his Chevrolet. The NASCAR Randy’s Ring & Pinion Bombers and the NASCAR Mini Stocks will be on the 3/8’s oval, chasing points and a shot at Victory Stage. The Super Figure Eights and Extreme Contact Figure Eights will make the intersection of the figure eight track one of the busiest in America with fast and furious action. The Super Figure Eights are gearing up for the 60 minutes of FEAR on May 31st. Also, the ever-popular three car trains are back to compete on the figure eight track.
Sunday May 25th, it’s a Demolition Derby and Fireworks show. Featuring those crazy School Bus Figure Eight Races, Hertz Hornets, Bump to Pass, Three Car Trains, a Roll Over Contest and its Kids Night! (See the Everett Herald for coupons) Don’t miss this action packed night out for the whole family!
