Inclement weather canceled Bud Pole qualifying for Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly 400K at Texas Motor Speedway. The 36-truck field was set according the series rulebook with points leader Bobby Hamilton, No. 4 Square D Dodge, sharing the front row with Rick Crawford, No. 14 Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford. This marks the second week in succession - and third time in 2003 - that qualifying was not held due to weather. A pair of practice sessions were rescheduled Thursday, however, the first was cut short by rain shower.
