
WILTON, California -- Davey Hamilton’s SRL Wild West Shootout returns to action this coming Saturday, June 28th, at Madera Speedway. Saturday’s race will be the first at Madera in the 2003 season, and the fourth event of 2003.
Ron Strmiska Jr. of Manteca, California is coming off of two straight victories. Strmiska picked up a victory March 30th at Stockton99 Speedway, and May 31st at Altamont Raceway Park.
Strmiska holds a 39 (153-114) point lead over Tim Stratmeyer, while Michael Carver sits third, Chris Wadsworth fourth, and Rick Ruzbarsky fifth. Jeff Anthony the 2002 champion maintains the sixth position overall, with Joey Zampa, Steven Williams, Tracy Bolin, and Dave Byrd rounding out the top 10.
Ray Lawson Jr. of Fresno, California won two of three events at Madera Speedway last season. Joey Zampa of Napa, California was also victorious in Madera.

Get well Rick Ruzbarsky: Last Saturday night, Ruzbarsky underwent surgery at Sonoma Valley Hospital for diverticulitis, and had part of his colon and appendix removed. Ruzbarsky is the 2002 SRL Wild West Shootout Rookie of the year.
