CARSON CITY, Nevada -- It was just been announced that the Champion Motor Speedway is about to be invaded by some big bad Monsters.
That’s right thunderheads … on Saturday, July 26th; it’s the 2003 "Summer Monster Truck Nationals" featuring the big-blown ‘Monster Truck’ bad-boys!
The world famous "Monster Patrol" live from Chicago will be in the house, along with "Bear Foot" from Indiana, "Captain Insano" from Idaho, and " Arachnophobia" from Florida
Also on the dance card will be Tuff Truck competition. Officials are also working on (but have not confirmed) Xtreme Freestyle Motorcycles. As seen on the X Games - these freestyle daredevils will be flying over five stories high on motorcycles.
CMS general manager Jeb Onweiler said, “It’s been a few years since monster trucks have been showcased in Carson City and we have a stellar lineup ready to roll. This event is produced by the P.M.T.R.A. and they bring in the some of the most exciting monster truck shows in the business. I strongly encourage fans to get their tickets early, because this event will probably sell out.”
Fun Jumpers’ Earnhardt Memorial Park “Kids Klub” will play host to the “Paddy Wagon" thrill ride truck along with the bounce house pavilion. The Paddy Wagon will offer $5.00 rides for all kids starting at 6pm. Thanks to the great folks at Fun Jumpers the first 500 kids will receive a free toy monster truck.
All five “Thunder Theater” locations will offer ARCA RE/MAX Series action from Pocono, PA followed by USAC Silver Crown racing from Pikes Peak International.
Advance tickets are on sale right now at all Ticketmaster locations. The gates open Saturday, July 26 at 6pm, and the show starts at 7:30 sharp.
